Team Building

Chili Cook-Off

Attendees are divided into groups. Each group is provided a workstation which includes a stove and pot, cutting board, knife etc and one pound of meat. There are pantry areas set up in the vicinity and they create their own recipe, using the ingredients provided for a Texas style chili. Teams have one hour to create their award-winning recipe and then they present to the judge. They are judged on presentation, taste, aroma and color along with table decoration and team unity. The judges then decide a winner.

This usually leads into a Texas BBQ in which the different chili’s are displayed so that the group can taste all the contenders and judge for themselves who had the best chili. Groups really get into the competition and have a great time with this Texas tradition.
